More Oregon Fun

I watched a movie on Netflix about a guy who moved to Portland and chose a secluded life of fishing by himself, and I swear most of these forests could have been straight from the movie. Don't worry guys, I still have another week in good ol' Oregon so there should be many more updates to come.

Gold Beach, Oregon

As per request, here I am. I haven't blogged in so long, I am pretty sure I don't remember how. We've been in Oregon since about 7 days ago. We still have about 8 more days here, so we definitely need to keep trekking along finding things to do. It is reallllly windy on the Oregon coast and we have to stay pretty bundled when we go to the beach. All the locals think we are pretty crazy and they kind of look at us funny when we go to the beach because NO ONE swims here. The waves are so crazy high and fierce no one ever even goes to the shore. We Idahoans arent scared of a little rough water. But instead of going on and on, I guess I can just picture dump on here and you can see for yourself!

Jared found a shark that had been impaled by a pole right through its mouth. Washed up on the shore.

Strike a Pose

Sometimes I invite my cousin into my room and we watch movies all night. Sometimes we don't pose very nicely for pictures.

she was laughing so hard in the majority of them, not a lot of them changed expression :) Sure am gonna miss this kid.

Is This Real?

Is this real life? Am I really going home in 6 days??! Where did these last 5 months go? I am so excited to go see some friends and family, and yet I am really sad to be leaving the friends and family here! I have had at least 3 coworkers offer me a bed at their various houses if I will stay. So sweet to have made friends that care if I stay or go. I have done the things that I came here to do (see family I havent seen forever, get a job, make some money, get out of Burley for awhile) and I feel ready to see what the next chapter is for me. Yes, I am not exactly thrilled to drive 2,217 miles by myself, but what are you going to do? If at any time Sunday-Wednesday you find yourself with nothing to do, call me!!! I will definitely need some motivation to drive that long and I need to be caught up with everyone's lives! Not to guilt trip anybody, but it seems you have all forgotten me. You know who you are. :)
