Vision

I went to the eye doctor today. I didn't really need to, I haven't been having any vision problems or anything lately, but aren't you supposed to go every 6 months as well as to the dentist and stuff? I have no clue but I did it anyway. Turns out I have such a small amount of bad vision (-.25 whatever that means) that our insurance won't cover the glasses because the prescription isn't big enough. The good news would be that I don't need glasses because I have almost perfect vision. The bad news is I can no longer fulfill my childhood dream of wearing said glasses and fighting crime and stuff. Apparently my Drivers Ed instructor was wrong 5 years ago when he told me my bad driving could be a vision problem and my eyes would only go blinder. (ha, joke. but they did send me to the eye Dr. just in case)  I pretty much just wasted a perfectly good $15 to be told that my eyes are doing great. Good job guys. Keep up the good work.

fun fact: while I was googling a picture of eyes (every good post needs a picture so you can relate with me) I found out that Ommetaphobia is a fear of eyes. Who is scared of eyes?

my eye is way cooler than this one, but we don't have time for that

Police!

My brothers took the doorknob off their door and they are both practicing yelling, "NYPD! OPEN UP!" then they "kick down" the door. (it swings open and they crack up) We watch way too much TV in this house...

News is news.

Today, I found my glasses. I have always kind of known where they are because I purposefully leave them places like on my dresser or in some drawer. I put them on and was very disconcerted to find that I can read better with them. Yeah, newsflash: glasses help you see. The thing is I can't all the sudden decide to wear them because then people will think I'm trying to start something or be cooler. Also, I look nerdy. Guys, they just help me see. Also, to prove my point, I google imaged some nerd glasses and the first search result was: hipster glasses- just the frame $55, with glass $88. Point. Proven.

Promotion

What can't Google do? A page was loading and it flashed a black screen for a second and I noticed that my screen was finger printy and very dirty. So I sat there for a moment wondering what I could do about that. I googled 'black screen so I can clean my computer' and it took me to a little video that was just a black page so I could get my computer clean. In other news, I have nothing better to write about than the amazing things I find on the web. Ok just kidding I do have something cooler to say. I'm moving to Tennessee!! I thought about what I really wanted to do with my life and I decided I definitely don't want to spend these last few months before I go on my mission in Burley, Idaho so I called up my grandpa and asked him if I could move in for a couple months. He agreed, and the plans are set! I am way excited to move to a whole new area in a state I've never even been to. I Google mapped his house (seriously people, google is where it's at) and I got to virtually see the house I will be living in. It's right next to a huuuuuge lake and I am so excited for warm weather and swimming and new people and a new job hopefully. I wasn't really going to tell anyone until I was actually in the car driving there- because people tend to say I change my mind a lot with the whole life plan thing- but once I bought my mom's return home flight, it made it real. So you can all hope that I will return with a little Southern accent. I will try my hardest to perfect it.

This is right by where I'll be living

Thanks, Google Images

If It's Love...

I would just like everyone to know I have a new love interest. My sister and I just finished our whirlwind Harry Potter marathon. She had never seen past number 3 so it was fun to watch her cry in 4, 5, 6, and 7's. I am not one of those shallow one's who only loves Neville because now he is cute. I will have you know I mentioned in the first movie that I loved him. And before this turns into a ramble....

those last 2 pictures were the same picture so I went and found another one....or I just wanted to look through more pics. Either way... :)

Adventure Time

What I lack in education, I make up for in life experience. This morning I was shaken awake by my sister, who in 5 minutes conned me into helping our aunt out for the day. My aunt usually takes care of an elderly lady every Monday and couldn't today because she was sick. So, the task was given to me and my sister. We thought it was going to be a quick little thing where we could be done before anyone even knew we had left. 7 hours later, we had been to Jerome for the Dr. appointment, stopped off in Twin for lunch and a visit to some stores to buy some odds and ends, back to Burley, hit up Walmart, the grocery store, and the post office, then went home and scrubbed the carpet floor where she'd hit her nose and got blood everywhere, made dinner, put everything away, and promised a return visit in the future. What truly made it all worth it was the conversation topics... we were talking about being married and acceptable age differences between men and women and she says, ''I know that guys like to marry younger women, but now I hear that there's a thing called cougars!' After my sister and I gathered ourselves from laughing so hard she continued with, ''and the man at my church keeps asking me out to dinner, but I keep having to tell him no.'' Oh man, I hope I am an awesome old person.

Priorities

I was sitting on my bed when I hear my little brother upstairs. I can hear him talking, but usually I don't hear him use such a persuasive voice. I hear little phrases like, 'come on.. you got it... just a little farther. come on little guy. almost there...come on you're doing so good. you are so close. just a little farther and we are there.' and on and on with all this reinforcement speech. Naturally, I am super curious who he is with. My mind flashes through images of a baby just learning to walk, maybe a maimed animal dragging a paw behind, or maybe he is helping someone with their rehab. He then calls down the stairs and tells me he has something really great to show me. (the walking infant, maybe) I walk upstairs and he has his remote control car out and he is trying to persuade the dying battery to get the car to go a little farther around the house. He was so proud of himself. My siblings are so weird.
